I’ve been the office green champion before it was a thing; taking the office composting home on my bike and wondering why nobody cares as much as me. When I first had my environmental epiphany, I thought I should go and save the rainforests and then I realised I should start with the industry that I worked in, the events sector. I reskilled in sustainable events and became an ‘intrepreneur’ looking to make change from within- so this is why I am committed to supporting Green Champions in all sectors as I know how pivotal you can be and how it can feel as a lone ranger or a small group taking on the social norms and culture of an organisation or an industry.
